Ukraine Musings – 01/12/10
No time for jet lag…
Well I finally arrived in Kiev at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, got into bed at 3:30 a.m. and was on the road for Krivoy Rog at 10:30 a.m. Ed Dickson (an incredible man of God and PAOC global worker) and I arrived at 5:30 p.m. and I preached in a church at 6.p.m. Got to love the life of a global worker!!!!
I had my first full day in Krivoy Rog today and spent four hours teaching future leaders in the Ukraine at the Bible College. In between classes, I went with Ed to MacDonald’s (yes, you heard it right, “the golden arches”) and watched children from the orphanages that Ed and his team work with, enjoy a happy meal and hear about the Christ of Christmas. There are over 1oo,ooo children who have been abandoned by their parents in the Ukraine but through the work of our PAOC global workers, many of these children have a future filled with hope and destiny. If I can find a way to download some video, I will let you enjoy the experience with me on a future blog.
It is 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning as I write this blog so I must get some sleep so I will be ready for the two day pastor`s conference starting today. Thank you so much for the many who have said you are praying.
Until next time…
