Ukriane Musings – 01/23/10
What a thrill to speak to about 150 plus youth at the Church of Hope youth conference this morning.
For those who consider me to be over the hill I want you to know that I think I may still have a little bit of energy to speak into the lives of a generation that is vital to the future of the church.
Upon my return to Canada, I will summarize my two weeks in a final Ukraine Musings blog. I must tell you this has been an incredible way to start 2010. The favor that God has given me with the church in the Ukraine has been beyond anything I could have expected. I will leave for Canada in about 30 hours and will come home with 30 reasons to return to the Ukraine!!!!
Last night I spoke at the Assemblies of God International Church prayer meeting. Tomorrow I speak at the large Church of Hope in the centre of Kiev (a city of 4.5 million people). Paul and Joanne Lasante are on a overnight train to Kiev tonight to spend the day with the Burns and myself tomorrow. I look forward to seeing them.
I have lost count of the number of times I spoke, taught, prayed, met with pastors and leaders, but every minute has been rich in relationship building and meeting new friends in a country that is experiencing a season of God’s favor. The physical and spiritual energy I have felt can only be because of the prayers of friends and family. Please know how much it means to me.
However, it is time to return home to my dear wife and children (a little black dog too)! See you Monday Mann family (unless Germany decides to shut the runways again)! They are expecting it to be -30 degrees tomorrow so Jonathan and Julia, it is time that we all leave for the Bahamas and get you married!!!!
Until next time…
