Monday Musings (special Wednesday edition) 28/05/14
Last week, after ministering at the People’s Church mission’s conference in Cape Town, South Africa, MJ and I were privileged to visit one of the most spectacular, superb, sensational parts of God’s creation. Considered as one of the new seven natural wonders of the world, Table Mountain provided us with a view of the mountain ranges and valley’s where the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean meet.
It is as if God picked up boulders that no man or machine could ever move and placed them with His mighty right hand exactly where He wanted them to be. The three dimensional depth of natural beauty that cameras cannot fully capture, is a constant reminder of God’s incredible handy work that we call creation.
In the last month, we have stood at the most westerly and southerly parts of this Continent. MJ and I remain thankful for the privilege we have of coming alongside and working with the beautiful people that stretch across the four corners of Africa.
Yesterday was a historic day for our ministry. RTC’s very first Center for Leadership Integrity (CLI) took place at Cornerstone Assembly in Pretoria, South Africa. We introduced the concept of raising a Biblically centered, Holy Spirit empowered, integrity driven generation of leaders on the Continent of Africa to fifteen church leaders. What an incredible day it was! An evaluation at the end of the day had people saying how much the message of integrity is needed in Africa.
Without question, I am convinced that increasing the integrity of the leader will increase the capacity of the church. Another CLI is scheduled for Durban, SA from June 18-20th. Your prayers would be appreciated.
On Saturday, I leave for a two week visit to the Congo. Myself and a colleague who lives in South Africa will minister from morning to night in three cities doing leadership training with pastors and church leaders. I just received word that in the midst of our trip, a football stadium has been secured and we are being asked to speak at a Holy Spirit conference.
Your prayers would be appreciated as we fulfill a very busy ministry schedule in the midst of what can be some difficult situations.
Speaking of past, present and future, thirty-two years ago tomorrow, I married the most beautiful French Canadian woman called Marie-José Gravel. Stealing a line from my brother, I always say that when I married MJ, I turned a woman into a “Mann”.
The pastor of People’s church in Cape Town said it best when he introduced me to speak last Sunday morning. He said this morning the speaker is good, tonight when MJ speaks, she will be great! I could not say it any better. When God brought MJ into my life, He took two good individuals and made them into a great team!!!! Thirty-two years ago, I married up! If the present is any indicator, the future is going to be awesome!
Until next time…
