Silence of the Blogging Pen
In four countries over five weeks, more than four hundred men and women from all walks of life were exposed to the message of integrity.
What started as a hiatus in January 2016 to write the CLI Manual, finished in November when it was put into the hands of Summit participants across Africa.
Today, I find myself back in my living room in Pretoria, reflecting on what has been accomplished over the past five weeks. A gruelling, yet fulfilling travel schedule took us to Liberia, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Kenya.
The rewards of watching influential men and women commit to a lifestyle of integrity from the education, business, church, family, government, professional, sports, arts, media and entertainment sectors of society, are beyond words. Seeing them work through the six pillars of integrity found in the CLI manual, while sitting in their cohort groups, provides a picture of how the movement will multiply in the future. Handing each participant their certificate of commitment at the end of the Summit, is cause for incredible celebration. Announcing our return for a Summit of 700 and the enthusiastic response of the participants fuels the integrity momentum. Hearing the stories of what God is already doing is keeping the passion for integrity alive. Read what one wrote in a recent email.
“Wow!!!! I am so excited to hear from the team. I am very grateful for the last CLI meeting held in Monrovia. I am the team leader for the Government. I am concluding my cohort of ten in my office and the interest has grown even among my bosses. We will start to hold our meetings early January because we are now close to the season and as such we agree to start our meetings in January 2017…By the grace of God, our next CLI meeting will be very exciting.”
So, please do not think that the silence of my blogging pen is because of the idleness of my hands. I finally have the opportunity to express to you in writing and through photography what has kept my hands busy and my heart full with the passion for integrity.
Until next time…
